The Role
Edmonton Kenworth Ltd. is looking for a Body Shop Manager who is responsible to expand business through insurance adjusters, customers and other sources to assure an adequate sales volume, provide department operating profit and maintain customer satisfaction, while controlling expenses. The Body Shop Manager directs the activities of Body Shop employees in performing body repairs on a multitude of vehicles in the heavy duty market, meeting time schedules and productivity levels and maintaining a high degree of quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate the team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
Responsibilities
The Body Shop Manager will collaborate with other members of the management team towards achieving Company and departmental goals specific to the branch. The position will provide day-to-day supervision of the Body Shop department and ensures compliance with corporate policy as it relates to the strategic plan. The position is expected to promote our services to customers, collaborate with other internal partners and be accountable for dealing with day to day operational challenges on the shop floor.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of:
- Journeyman ticket with experience in a dealership environment
- Eight (8) years of experience in a truck service and repair facility
- Four (4) years of demonstrated supervisory experience in a service environment
- Valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable safe driving record in order to drive a vehicle(s) as required
- In-depth knowledge of warranty claim process in a dealership environment
- Knowledge and application of OH&S requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience
